Starcraft was first released a year before I came into existence, which for some reason made me feel cool. It's like we were meant to be :3
But I've been playing Starcraft since the very instance I laid my eyes on it.
Skip through the years and to a dramatic point in my life. A few weeks before my parents got divorced, Starcraft 2 was officially announced. I tried following the creation of SC2 by checking their website every day, but something happened. I suddenly lost interest. One day, I just stopped playing. I gave up. My life would move on and I wouldn't touch anything Blizzard-related for another two or so years...

Two days ago, I installed Starcraft 2 for the very first time. I booted it up for the very first time. I watched the cinematic for the very first time (Hell, it IS about time!), and I experienced my very first gameplay. And my God, the nostalgia! I only have the Starter Edition, but damnit it was great fun.
I am now determined to get myself a copy of SC2 ASAP!!

when i read this sentence i was like "wat u must be like 8 or smth"
then i realized im old t-t
unless you mean something else with "i came into existence". not quite sure.

Actually I was born 4 years before Starcraft was released. My bad >.>
For some reason I was thinking it came out in '93.

Well, I can't go out and buy SC2 yet. I'm broke as hell and I have no job ):

Do a lot of people still play it? I always assumed that everyone moved on to SC2

yeah people play it but they're all the equivilant of GM level in SC2 terms, they play with koreans... even the 2v2v2v2ers are pretty good some times, good luck!
