heads up -This deals with drugs & perophinilia
Alright TL I have a little story here that started around 4 months ago. Me and my buddy were throwing a house party where since we have to kind of keep it quiet at night we try to stick to mainly bud as people's poison of choice since often alchohol leads to loud people. Anyway sometime in the night this guy we sort of know shows up, his name for story purposes would be Gary. So Gary gets passed our brand new bong, and before even taking a hit just wrecks it on the table blowing out like a 1/3rd of the bottom of this bong. Very sad moment in my life.
We tell Gary that since he broke it he's gotta pay for it and we paid $120 for it. He says ok he'll do it asap and gets on his way along with everyone else. So a couple days roll by and we finally talk and setup a deal where he gives us $40 a week and then that would be that.
First week comes by, nothing.
Second week comes by, nothing.
Third week comes by, we get some shitty excuse about how he couldn't come up with any money ay all... after almost a month, but wtvr me and my friend were trying to be nice and not start anything so we just kind of went with it agreeing that he'd have it us when he could. so we waited.
Month and a half comes by and we finally get some money but sadly it's only half of what he owes. Now, the first thing he says when handing us the money is that it was a shitty bong and broke stupidly so he should only half to pay us 60.. ok wtf, calling our bong that HE broke shitty and only paying half . . .not even a hello, ugh. We eventually persuade him to just pay us the full and time goes on again.
3rd month, now we're starting to get seriously annoyed and now start asking him either everyday or every other day when he'll have the money. Of course I get this text from him "I'm not paying for that piece of shit bong, if you try and come get the money i'll beat the shit out of you" . . . awesome, exactly what i wanted to hear. At this point i basically just say fuck it and figure it's not worth pursuing this anymore.
4th month - Kharma hits. I'm sitting in the food court and low and behold it's Gary running across the court. Coincidence happened to strike cause while running, Gary jumped over someone's bag on the ground and out of his pocket fell what looked to be like an iphone. Being as super ninja as I am i managed to snatch it before he even noticed it was gone and went on my merry way in the opposite direction. Upon further inspection I realized what I had grabbed was an ipod touch, let alone a brand new one. Looked up the price online new and it was $150. Well would you look at that, $150 of this douchebags money. So i took it to work and sold it almost instantly for $130 cash ^.^
TL;DR
Guy breaks my bong -is reluctant to pay me back - pays me only half - threatens to fight - i forgive and forget and end up $150 richer.
Kharmatic Justice? I think so
Edit: Should also probably add I heard from his friends that he was flaming nonstop about how he lost his ipod lololol.

In my oppinion you came out worse in this, he accidentally broke your bong worth $120, took a few weeks for him to come up with $60 and then said he wouldn't pay the rest becaus 'it's a shitty bong', then you end up stealing his Ipod and selling it for $130 quite a douchy move.

aww man if you "found" his iphone for him and returned it, he would have been at a loss for words because you are the last person he would expect to help him. then he will pay you back and you guys can be pals. that is how karma works!!! :D good luck!

I think a lot of people here are misreading. He says explicitly that they don't drink because drinking leads to loudness and they have to be quiet or am I completely missing the point? So the guy didn't destroy the bong while he was totally drunk but rather an idiot.
Anyways, I would have returned the iPod anyways. A good deed like that maybe could have motivated him to return the remaining 60 bucks. I don't think this debt justifies theft, also I like the proposal to give it to charity.

100% sober and 100% bitchiness from him the whole 4 months, I guess I fail to fully put forth how seriously annoying this guy was.
And for the people who say theft, he literally ran away leaving his ipod and it may be dick-like but I was in no way ready to hand it back to him.
used the money to put towards a new fridge for my friend so that's where that went everyone.

well you could have been a tad nicer and said "pay me the rest and you get it back". This way, you did actually steal it. Just because he didn't notice it falling out of his pocket doesn't mean he gave it away for free rofl.
