EPTI won my first game easily, catching the terran players army out of position, I destroyed his greedy third base on Antiga Shipyard after destroying the rocks blocking it. I then proceeded to kill workers with my banelings at his second. After drawing his army to protect his third again, I moved in to his second and took at the two bunkers protecting it, catching his army out of position again! I was super excited and he GGed it.
My next two games I lost, partly due to mis micro in a ZvZ and getting out macroed. My second game I lost was because against a terran, I went for a greedy quick third. I had a larger number of banelings/zerglings than he did marines/siege tanks but he was still able to punish me as he had his tanks staggering pretty good, while I didn't get a quick enough baneling speed to take out his marines. I nearly held it off, but overall he was able to defeat me. I can cry "tanks OP" all I want, but I'm only in silver, so I just need to get better micro, although my first thought was "tanks OP". hehe
I proceeded to win my next two games. The zerg went a fast roach warren, while I went a baneling nest. He pressured and took out my expo early on in the game, but I held it off with my lings/blings then attacked for the kill. I won >
My next game, I went ling/bling/muta against the terran. He early pressured with banshees which caught me completely off guard and I was scrambling to get any detection up. I somehow held it off though with only queens/an overseer. He then attacked with marines,marauders and tanks. I cleaned it up, then harrassed him with my 4 mutas. I took out his expo and main SCVs, hopping bases back and forth when his marines got there, he split them, but with more mutas arriving, I killed them split, then took out any SCVs attempting to make missile turrets. He left.
I lost my next game to a 10 pooling zerg who spine crawler rushed me. I went 14/14 but didn't get any zerglings out in time, so I lost, but I didn't take the game to bad. I played one more, this time against a protoss. He went early phoenix, but not void rays. He harrassed my queens with that, but I followed it up with harrassment with 4 mutas. I base hopped, and his stalkers couldn't keep up. I took out a lot of probes, then sent my main force to attack, and win.
I feel like I am making steady progress, and I am very pleased. :D
My ZvZ is my best matchup usually, but I'm dominating my ZvP as of late. So I am happy. And thanks for the good luck :D
