What helps is to stop playing for a day, find out what is blocking your head and then going into it with a new perspective. For example after 2-3 stupid losses, i tilt and think something like "I lost to two scouted 4gates/DTs/cannon rushes/proxy 2 rax/6pools, i'm so stupid, i fail so much" and in every following game i will not scout because i'll think "he'll just do a 4gate/(see above)/... and i will lose again, so why scout?" and overcompensate... and then i die to anything else. This can go for 10+ games in a row until i start killing my own hatchery at the start of every game because i'm too frustrated. Then i think all night about how stupid i was for stopping to concentrate on the game and i focus again and get back up to the old position (until there is another really stupid loss due to a massive mystake by myself and the "circle of tilt" starts again). Also: Your general mental state has a huge influence on the game. Don't play when you are exhausted, tired, depressed, hungry, etc.. It will prevent you from concentrating, even if you don't notice it when playing. Your head only has a limited capacity and you need it all free for SC2 and you can not afford wasting half of your capacity thinking about your loss streak, the girl that rejected you, bad grades at school or whatever else might keep your head busy. Block that stuff out and focus. | ||
