Race really doesn't matter. If you want to go by current trends, protoss sucks, terran op, infestor op.
But that really isn't true. And if you don't intend to play at a near pro level, rest assured that everyone is still so bad that arguing about op and imbalance isn't even worth your time.
Pick whatever race you like /enjoy, and assuming you are actually B+ you will win most of your games by just outclassing your opponents.
You may lose here and there to odd builds you've never seen, or aren't sure of how to deal with ( aka if you pick protoss and someone does 111). But, once you start getting used to all the funky stuff and how to recognize all the different cheeses, it won't really matter what you go with.
