A gala. Perhaps at the end of the year. Perhaps in Europe or something. A convention center. Limited capacity. Limited attendance. Only select members of the community with notability or press passes (Hot_Bid, Carmac, etc.)
Imagine all your favorite progamers in nice formal wear. Some would dress exceptionally well. Imagine SeleCT in a particularly suave skinny suit. Liquid`HerO perhaps as well. Sheth? Always looks good, especially in a suit. TLO and DeMusliM? Undeniably. Some may look funnier though. IdrA? HuK? KawaiiRice?
You'd also get to see everyone's girlfriend's or dates. Grubby would arrive fashionably, with his equally (if not more fashionably) dressed wife, former Miss Singapore. Rainbow would arrive with his frequently admired girlfriend. iNc and Anna Prosser as well. Who would net Lindsay Sporrer as a date?
There'd be announcements for upcoming events. Comparison of various alcohols. Virgin drinks for Pokebunny and KawaiiRice.. Perhaps a game or two. Drinks brought by hired caterers. Food. Good music.
I know it's not typical of gamer culture to attend these sorts of things. But an event with this level of class would certainly be fun, if only in my imagination.
