Hello everyone!
I am William, I have been playing StarCraft 2 for about two weeks now and I feel like I am missing something. Thankfully Day[9] pointed me in the right direction so I am going to follow his advice and create a blog to aid my quest to find some SC friends.
I am obviously very new at StarCraft and teamliquid.net so I am looking for some people in EU around my age (16) to have fun with SC instead of just mindless laddering in the hope to get promoted to higher league's. I'm sure there are probably more players like me that are quite intimidated by the community, so I would like to do a shout out to those people to add me and have some fun. I don't exactly know if I want to post my account info in here so if you PM me I will react with the info. 
I hope this is a good first step to make. Thanks a lot for reading this and please excuse me if I made any grammar or spelling errors I would also love it to see some feedback and criticism.

And I wouldn't be afraid to post your battle.net character code. It's a good community and it's not very private information. And welcome to TL! I've been here for a while and even though I don't post much, I have always considered this the number one site to look for any information starcraft related or not, you'll learn new things every day and it'll eventually become a home if you are willing to make it one.

that aside, i've been derping in the bronze league for a while, and could use someone who is motivated to help me motivate myself to ladder more. My character code is 263, username is same as here

the phrase "I follow" isn't correct. With the way it's phrased right now, you have two choices: "I followed his advice", and "I am following his advice". Honestly, I can't remember the grammatical rule, that says why it should be that way, maybe someone can remind me.

This should be "I'll", with an apostrophe between the 'I' and the two 'L's'. The reason is that the word "I'll" is a contraction of "I will", so the apostrophe is there to represent that. The word 'ill' is actually another word for 'sick', although it is rarely used nowadays.
There might be another error or two in there. But your written English is good enough that if you hadn't said that you are from the EU, I would have thought you were a native speaker. I probably make as many mistakes as you do, on a regular basis, and English is my native language.

Thanks a lot for all the reactions so far, come to think of it this wasn't the best time to post this blog since everyone from Europe will most likely be asleep, but I am surprised with the amount of positive reactions!

Thank you for pointing me that thread, I saw it earlier and added some people from it in SC but I didn't have contact with them so I think that's where it went wrong. Perhaps I should PM the player that I want to be training buddies with on TL.net first?

I am so jealous that you are from the same country as Ret. That's like an instant +5 to drone production as a racial bonus. Were I on the EU server I would add you, but alas, I will just have to bid you a gl hf
