this movie is fucking hilarious, comedic gold. a must watch for everybody. shit had laughing hysterically so many times it is unreal.
the humor is incredibly witty and poignant, with the whimsical and silly thrown in for good effect too.
its a remake of an old classic which was amazing as well in its own right. it goes on a different path completely though. russel brand transformed the character to his own personality rather than trying to be dudley moore, and it worked out incredibly well.
the only negative thing i can say about this movie is not really all that negative. i thought the female acting to be somewhat lacking, especially when you compare the love interests (played by liza minella in the original) in both movies. this is sort of a pet peeve of mine in modern movies though, where the women are just kind of "there" and arent compelling. however that being said, its not all together fair to compare it to the original since its a different movie with a different feel.
so many scenes i just think back about and i chuckle in my head. go see it, it is worth the 20$.
