I listened intently to both parts and immediately found myself recalling my favorite memories from the game and immediately had a desire to pop in either Chrono Trigger or Cross. Before doing so I found links from that same orchestra (the Philharmonics in Cologne, Germany), doing essentially tributes to Zelda, Final Fantasy, Pikmin, and the list goes on. I immediately purchased the album featuring only SquareSoft songs (Chrono series, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy, and Kingdom hearts). Since its arrival I have listened to it countless times. It puts a smile on my face so quickly when it hits certain chords that just let the nostalgic feelings wash over me.
While I strong suggest anybody who loved those games or series to give it a listen to and see if you enjoy it, I also pose the question: What things give you nostalgic feelings? Certain movies on TV, the weather, a specific phrase?
