EPTHi, it's been a while since I made a blog post. But I won't do any fancy posts in my blogs like other days, I'll get straight to the point:
So for weeks and days and many hours, I've been in a big need of various items in order for me to succeed and be a big man. And by that I mean I need a new laptop, camera, external hard drive, SDHC card, and etc. Basically things a typical asian geek/nerd would want if he/she is into the media world. But the biggest worry I've had for the past 7 hours is this deal found at the woot.com website: "Sanyo Xacti HD Camcorder & 14MP Camera w/12x Optical Zoom".
Now here's the thing, I'm a typical poor college student who is on limited funds and resources. I am currently taking a field production class where each of us got to make a 10 minute documentary as our final project. I need a camcorder so badly to shoot this. Sure, the school has its own HD video cam but I need a secondary piece of device to film my 3 years old nephew causing chaos at home. But is this deal worth it? I've read mixed reviews and I don't even know if this is the best choice for me. But worst part is, I've spent 7 hours going nuts over this.
I also realized if I am going to pull a trigger on this camera, I also have to supply myself extra batteries since each battery will last about 30 minutes in HD mode. Then there's the backup charger, the camcorder carrying bag/case, a tripod, a tripod case, a SDHC card, an external mic, and possibly more. Oh and my budget... 160 dollars as that's what it says in my bank account.
So my question is this, is it all possible to buy this 160 dollars or under? Am I crazy to think over 7 hours over this deal that will end in about 6 hours? Have you ever been put yourself into situation of consumer dilemma?? What should I do?!?! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Save me!
