Group A:
Huk>sung
Ret> LZ (close series I hope, I want LZ to win but rets been insane lately)
Nadagast>Response
Socke>Jinro
Huk > Ret
Socke > Nadagast
Socke is a PvT specialist but his PvP is relaly weak compared to the protoss's at the event
Huk beats Socke, moves into RO4 winners bracket
Group B:
drewbie>sean
Axslav>Tyler
Painuser>jimmy
Idra>Naz
Axslav is seriously underrated in his PvP, nony's is sick but I'm feeling an upset here
Idra v Naz hsa so much potential, like diamond wrote, Naz forces you to play his style, which is idra's kryptonite. I still think idra will eek out the 2-1 victory but it will be infinitely closer than the names suggest.
drewbie>ax
Idra>painuser
Idra moves on to Winners RO4
Group C:
Select>exodus
Machine vs Incontrol (I'm too lame to pick one here =\)
Fenix>agh
Slush>attero
Select > EG
Fenix > slush
Fenix beats select, his TvT is potent as hell.
Group D:
sen>qxc
TT1>newsh
bullfrog>TLO (upset pick!!!! oh noez)
Kiwikaki > whoever it is
I feel like its march madness bracket picking, where I have to have one ridiculous upset pick that'll take me over the top, and here it is. bullfrog is a solid zerg who's been playing ZvZ's forever. TLO played in beta and then for the past 2 weeks. ZvZ is also a hugely random matchup where BO tends to win, as its really hard to come back from a BO disadvantage, so here it is
Sen>TT1
Kiwi>bullfrog
Kiwi takes it in a close series against Sen (who we'll see more of in losers i'm sure)
And tehre you have it
Huk Idra Fenix and Kiwi
Idra should beat Huk again, Idra's macro style play for ltae game zerg is really a contrasting style to what Huk is strong against, which is early mid game extreme strengths.
Fenix vs kiwi will be close. Not sure if I can pick a winner here since I'm not entirely sure about how strong fenix's TvP is, kiwi's PvT is obviously very powerful as well.
We'll see how this goes, but one thing is for sure which is that the top 24 at mlg this weekend will be a fully loaded star studded lineup.
