So, I made a thread about this about 2 years ago if not more. I didn't get ONE reply to it. It's hopeless.
And it's an amazing, amazing, amazing series.
Did anyone see this? Did anyone even try to?
I can't believe that something this good had so little coverage.
Has anyone seen this? It's a miniseries (6 episodes, 1 hour each) made by BBC America (apparently) that's "following up" on the story of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde. Basically it's a modern-age, sort-of-believable version of the story, with a REALLY well made villain-character.

Also, if you've already seen it, discuss. I wouldn't normally mention it but I don't know how much exposure this had in the US. And it's a lot better than most of the crap they're coming out with lately. It gets particularly interesting during episode 2. The first one is just a sort of big intro thinghy.

At first I thought this blog was going to be about a vacation to Jekyll Island, GA, where my family goes every summer. The show looks interesting though, I'll definitely have to check it out after I finish Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares UK.

I guess I'm one of the few who watched it?
Trying not to spoil too much, but following the first few episodes, it had an enormous amount of potential. The lead actor was great in his role, I have a huge crush on Gina Bellman, the timing and suspense were top-notch. However, the storyline quickly spun out of control towards the end and left me disappointed overall, which is unfortunate given how fantastically cogent the first few episodes were.
I don't know what other direction they could've taken the story to keep it within six episodes, but that most definitely was not it, at least for me. To any others that may be interested in it, though, give it a shot. It may just hit all the right notes for you.

I agree that the story-line could've been better, but I liked the way it went as well.
Basically, you can do anything with this, stretch it out to 2-3 seasons with various incidents and so on, but I'm guessing that they only allowed a certain budget for this, and that's why we had to have the whole story in 6 episodes. The character development and everything felt a bit rushed, but still, to me, it's far better than 90% of the series out there at this moment.
And yeah, I also love James Nesbitt and Gina Bellman in this. They were great.

Yes! I saw this, loved every minute of it. Personally I didn't mind the story, it went almost exactly where I was expecting, with just one twist. Not really a bad thing, as they pulled it off almost perfectly. It could have been average, but James Nesbitt made it unbelievable. The man was made for the role.
