SC2 is unplayable in Europe for the past few days. Yesterday I tried to log in at 3 diferent times during the day with no sucess. Today I've been experiencing RIDICULOUS lag all day. Seriously??? I spent 60€ on this crap? The campaign was a total failure too imo. No cross realm play. No chat channels. No LAN. Not a word from Blizzard about this lag / unable to login situation... Also the game itself isn't that good. I mean, it's good, but not as good as it could be with all the easy macro mechanics.
I feel robbed

edit: What pisses me off the most is that I've been a Blizzard costumer for almost a decade and they fail to deliver any kind of costumer support.

I've also experienced lag, but it's worth the purchase. No doubt at all. The game is awesome and i can't wait for people to start creating masterpieces in the Map Maker which will double the entertainment i paid for.
|
Wait. So you could not log in after three attempts on the same day and now you feel bereaved?
O boy.

Well it does feel a little like an unfinished product by Blizzard standards, but look at it this way: Some other companies wouldn't hesitate to release an inferior RTS a lot sooner than Blizz. (I don't want to point fingers here...)
I have mixed feeling on the campaign. I liked the difference in missions, almost all of them were unique in some way. I didn't like the way you felt like you were just chasing your own tail for the first 20 missions. Also, I feel the writing and ending were subpar.
I hate the "isolated" attitude they have on B.net 0.2 now. I need chat channels =( WC3 style please The other features like clan support would be welcome too =(
I had trouble yesterday with B.net but today it was fine. Maybe it's just you.

If you think this is an unfinished project, you weren't around for the War3 RoC release.

It's not just me. Everyone I played complained about the lag.

You could post anything but image memes... that's just lame lol. Also you have US servers up and running, if NA servers were experiencing troubles TL would have been flooded with whine posts all over the place.

And YOU could have posted anything but another damn whine thread. If you're pissed off because of the lack of LAN and chat rooms why did you buy the game? You know they won't be added for a while, so that isn't a legitimate complaint. Why would you complain about whine threads when you are contributing to the problem?

I'm not complaining about the lack of LAN and chat rooms, thats just an extra nerd rage reason to make me post this blog. If you had an europe account and you were trying to play anything but campaign you would understand. Also, theres a /rant/ sign at the beggining of this blog. Plus this is a blog. If you don't like it, you can just GTFO and don't be disrespectful.

Game is just out, there will be some unforseen technical difficulties and it's part of the game imo. Seeing as how we've been playing the beta for so long for free, and all the online content in sc2 we'll be playing for basicly no subscription fee, expecting prime customer support is too much asked.
More ontopic: Most of us have lag issues at the moment, blizzard has confirmed this in the launcher and on their forums. If they could fix it sooner, they most likely would.
|
If was in US the same problems with lag teamliquid was already full with full angry nerd comments and spam of threads.
This was more a let of steam why is hard to understand that??? Because the other servers are 100% fine but EU cant play in 3 days in a row because of lag.
Funny when people are satisfied they dont care about the others...
|
Only lag I've had were yesterday and today it's been fine, I'm also on EU. Oh, and the campaign was mindblowingly amazing - could maybe have been longer? I played through it in about 14 hours.

Saying the campaign was bad is blasphemy tbh

Man, TY SO MUCH activision for bnet 2.0. Im SO GLAD you insisted on making bnet 2.0 act like a middleman for all games. Now I can randomly get disconnected and get losses because your server lags me out, meanwhile my connection is actually totally fine.
Seriously, it happened in back to back ladder games. And then in my next game it happened to my opponent - he lags out and disconnects even though he insisted his connection was fine and then I get a win. That's so ridiculous for what's supposed to be a competitive ladder.

I was getting some weird problems too, like after logging in, profile window was popping up but with no info other than name of my character - no last login time and no portrait. After I was hitting enter, enter was getting greyed out and nothing happened for a while until I just had to relog and experience the same thing again. It happened about a day or 2 after I finished campaign. i managed to succesfully log in and play some games after I went to battle.net site and logged to my account also there.
About the same time, when I was logged in and in menus, I got a window saying that all achievemnts where turned off until further notice. It was after a series of pretty laggy games too.
Thankfully my last games today where perfect with no lag but just few hours ago it was pretty bad. I've got disconnected with a window that says my account info is incorect few times too...
It's strange that there is any lag at all, most of the people are still playing campaign - 750 000 players online worldwide but only 31 000 games?
This makes me think cross region isn't avaible only because they have enough technical issues to solve already...
|
I'm so glad SC2 is not available in China haha. Well, I wish you good luck, because according to the many blogs complaining about Blizz' support, it looks like you will have to be patient.

More than half of the things you are complaining about was info you could have easily found out with the slightest amount of research. I dunno why you'd feel robbed... I don't think Blizzard kept macro mechanics/no chat channels/no cross realm play a secret from anyone.
