I'm looking to buy a new blackberry through VZ...there are so many kinds and it would be nice to get some feedback from people who's been using blackberry previously~ is it worth it? and which model would you recommend? I'll be using it mainly for web browsing and I heard you can send txt to other blackberries at no charge (is it true?)  | ||

Yes there is Black Berry Messenger which is free texting to anyone with a Blackberry. I have many friends in foreign countries, so this has been a godsend to me. I would be happy to answer anymore questions you have. | ||

The Tour still suffers from the almost archaic trackball (which is troublesome in the past), but other than that it is a really solid phone. The curve2 has the touch sensor pad but not as powerful as the Tour, and ofc the storm 2 is all touch. I dislike touch stuff myself (just a personal thing) but the storm2 has wifi so i'd get that over the others. Honestly, If I was you i'd go with the droid or some of the other new vzw smart phones coming out soon. Nexus one (and probably some more shit for summer, this is how it usually works.) If your priority is text/instant message/email (push email suddenly makes you use email all the time) then get a Bold 9700 (but it's GSM only so not on Verison, so wait for the Bold 9650 or whatever it is that is coming to Verizon soon) If your priority is browsing the Internet, then get the Storm 2. | ||

Some of the pretty basic plans come with that. I have a rooted Droid that I'm super, super happy with, but I'd also look at a Pre Plus over any current BB, tbh. | ||

Keep in mind that you'll have to pay for the $30 a month web/e-mail plan to use those features on the blackberry. Other than that, I love my phone, and have had very few complaints with it. | ||
