Well I'm planning to do something romantic to my gf. I just had an epiphany last night that didn't allow me to sleep. I just had to write the plan. However, I want to hear what you guys/girls think.
This is what is going to happen. My gf lives in a lower level of house so she has a little corridor that she walks through and then she go ups a few steps to reach the sidewalk of her block.
When she comes out, the first thing she is going to see is the corridor moderately filled with rose petals but there is going to be a heart made out of petals.
Now the heart is going to have a missing piece and it is going to have a note in the middle which I will refer to as note #1.
Note # 1 is going to have something cute that I will write(why i love her,how she makes me feel, etc) and is going to hint at the missing piece.
The note says to continue to note # 2(which will be on the steps)which will be attached to a card with a poem written on it. I will say that the she can read it later and that she can continue to the last note.
Note# 3 will be on the last step and it is going to ask her to step in the middle of the sidewalk and close her eyes until i say to open them. I will put that she will find the missing piece to my heart.
Now this is where I come in with a rose which is her favorite flower. I will tell her that the missing piece to my heart has always been her. I will put her hand on my heart and tell how seeing her makes my heart skip a beat.
I will look at her and ask her to be my valentine. Of course, I'm assuming she'll say yes.
So what do you guys/girls think? Is it romantic? Give me your thoughts or suggestions.

As much as I hate these "I have a gf" blogs, it's a nice romantic idea, and i hope you get lots of sex that night.

If I'm brutally honest this made me want to vomit a little. But then my heart is made of stone

I'm sure she'll like it.
My experience is doing these elaborate plans never pay off as much as you imagine. I mean in terms of effort, anything from 5% to 99% seems to yield the same reaction.

What if someone else picks it up and reads the note and walks off with it? How is she supposed to know the note is for her when there are several tenants in the building?

Oh I meant house. I've waited for her before, she's the only one that comes out that early. I have a timing window that I need to exploit.

Indeed
As much as you would like to think that one of these grand gestures would "pay off" she usually reacts to it the same way she would if you bought her a box of chocolate and told her you love her.
But then again, your girlfriend might be different.

This is truer than truth.

Dick in a box
...someone had to say it

It's a nice idea, but it seems a little excessive. Just leave it at the strewn rose petals, and possibly the heart shape. Rose in your hand is perfectly fine though.
Also, I totally don't get the thing about Valentine's Day. What a bullshit holiday.

Was thinking "what a romantic idea" till I read Chill's post. By the way have you posted in this thread yet?

It's a little bit too much imo. Although I don't know her. I can see certain of my friends appreciating this and others breaking up on the spot :p

Vegas trip all the way go go go

Seems a little bit extravagant imo. Sounds like a good gift for an overhyped chickflick.
I support what Chill says 100%. I bet you'll get either and awkward thank you reaction or the same reaction you'd get for 90% less effort.

How disgustingly romantic. I'm sure she will love it.
Being the lazy unromantic person I am, will probably just wrap up some presents and get some flowers. We've been together for 10 months and I still haven't bought her a single flower, so it should be relatively romantic LOL

You could say that, yes
You're like Apu when he made all of Springfield's men hate him for his elaborate Valentines day gifts

I don't mean to rain on your parade or anything but from a (not the, a) female perspective it's a little...gay. Cute, but gay. Maybe it's just not something I'm into but it's the whole missing piece of the heart bit. I just can't stomach it. Now a steak dinner. That I can stomach. I don't need anything over the top, just give me some dinner, god damnit.
I do agree that there is a lot of effort going into it when we're only going to say "Oooooh its so cute. I love it sooo much! I love yooou! *hugs* Here, I got you a scarf :3".
Then again, you're lucky if she gets you anything at all. Some girls think Valentines Day is about them is all I'm saying.
+ Show Spoiler +Boyfriend: I know you're reading this. Get on that steak.

I guess it's all preference from the female. I posted it in another site and the girls seemed to like it.
Edit: Eh, I'm not trying to be all defensive and I am taking into consideration what the guys have said. It has rained a little on my parade but I'm still thinking.
In fact, the only reason why I'm going with the rose petals is because she absolutely loves them and it reminds her of her home country.
