I have 6 GB of ram installed in it but when i'm running xp it only say i have about 3 gb of ram or so... does anyone know what cause this? also i'm missing a driver called "beanbag emulation device" -_-'' I know there are many computer whiz here at tl...please explain...I don't really need 6 gb of ram but I would be nice to have computer recognize i have 6 gigs..  | ||

Since someone already posted this, I'll try to elaborate a little to make my post more useful: The absolute maximum RAM alloted by any 32-bit OS is 2^32, and 32-bit Windows OS can only utilize approximately 3.5 GB (around there) of RAM. If you want to use all 6 GB of RAM, you need a 64-bit OS. I have no idea what beanbag emulation device is | ||

I know for a fact that Vista supports well more than 4 GB of RAM... XP is an older OS, back when people had 256 or 512 MB only. edit: actually it looks like 32 vs 64 bit is what makes the difference | ||
