Does it kill your brain cells? I have a huge fear of losing brain cells in life, and an hour ago I ate sushi with my family and had a HUGE portion of wasabi mixed in with my soy sauce. I didn't realize how ridiculously bad I would feel for the next 30 seconds or so. It was the absolute heaviest ratio of wasabi to soy sauce I had ever had, and there was intense PAIN in the very top of my head. it was so bad (it tasted so good though)   | ||

But no, isothiocyanates, responsible for the flavor, don ot kill brain cells. To the contrary, it's said to be good for you in that it kills bacteria and the whatnot. | ||

As I understand it wasabi is actually kinda good for you. | ||
