this is obv very bad for games/anything does anyone have experience with this? why it might happen, how to fix? signal is strong enough then just breaks, shrug apparently its been happening for a "long time" and my family just accept it as a fact of life THANKS for help  | ||

How old is the router? Does it lose connectivity through both wired and wireless connections? Have you tried upgrading the firmware of the router? When you lose connection are you still able to ping the router? | ||

contacted my provider, some guy came,did some tests and stuff.of course it was their fault,which got fixed over time | ||

try a direct ethernet to router, then to modem and see if it happens again | ||

2) Do the lights on the router actually go out when this happens, or do they stay on solid (ie, just the wireless connectivity was broken)? If so, you can check for wireless interference as well. Anything that runs on a 2.4GHz frequency (notoriously, cordless phones, but it can even be microwaves) can cause the wireless connection to drop. Other than that, yeah, please answer meeple's questions. ^_^ | ||

I had this for a couple weeks -___-  had to use an old router to fix it. My dad just updated the firmware on the one that was having problems, been 45 min so far and no problems | ||

If it turns out to be this (happened to me) ring up your ISP and ask them to lower your speeds or change your line profile to see if it makes a difference. | ||
