Ok, so I've just installed pidgin (formerly known as gaim) in hopes of getting on my MSN account etc.
However, what I get is this error message:

The certificate chain presented by login.live.com does not have a valid digital signature from the Certificate Authority from which it claims to have a signature.

Sooo... Does anyone understand what is this all about and how can I fix it?

Basically, the certificate MSN usually sends you to ensure you that you're not logging in to a fake service and leaking your password is corrupt (not authenticated by the Certificate Authority).

Might be some trojan trying to get your MSN account and password. Check your hosts file, if they reroute traffic that should go to the MSN network, that's the first place to look.

Nevermind. Managed to get around this by manually accepting the invalid certificate (I'm running on Linux so it might have been causing problems). Please close this.
