What a hectic season this has been, no? After the chaos that ensued from the introduction of HotS and the implementation of the WCS system for Season 6, things were finally starting to look better for Season 7. Except for the fact that all hell still broke loose. The new GSTL format with only 5 teams and a mix of Proleauge/All Kill format, The WCS AM/EU Challenger groups that were scheduled disastrously, and the Season Finals/Global Finals both being scheduled on back to back days, made this liquibet season one of the most challenging ones ever.
None the less, it always amazes me how there are always 10 people who fight so valiantly that they deserve nothing short of public recognition. You could even say that the fight for the top 10 was even fiercer than last season's. Especially if you consider the fact that this season lasted only about 2 and a 1/2 months. Now that liquibets actually follow a pattern by beginning and concluding with the GSTL/WCS season, things are looking much more cleaner now. Unfortunately, with the new WCS format in 2014, and with no idea how Proleague/GSTL will be run, looks like we once again will have to work some kinks out for the new upcoming year. However, for now, let's just enjoy this list of top 10 users!
Unfortunately, there can only ever be just one winner. For a while towards the end, it was really neck and neck between T.O.P, cam connor, and Zom, but the Hot6ix Cup was able to crown us a winner in the end,
So without further ado, CONGRATULATIONS to T.O.P!!!
Thank you very much to everyone who participated for Season 7. Season 8 should be starting up soon so stay tuned and get those bets ready!
Personally I started out really well, then had a catastrophic dive from bad predictions and forgotten votes, which I eventually managed to recover from. In the end I reached 308th place with my 137 points. I think I could've done a bit better in general, rushed votes and missed votes dragging me down. Looking forward to next season!
Aw, I'm only ranked 204 with 142 points. Missed a few too many votes. Oh well, at least now I know my strategy of "not actually watching Starcraft" works infinitely better than my previous liquibet strategy of "watching Starcraft."
72 (120-something last season)... not bad I guess. Oh and 99% of times I vote for players I like, so heart>head confirmed, just need a bit more luck. >.> Next season is probably gonna be much harder though, team leagues are much harder to predict than 1v1 games and I won't be able to just pick 1 player I like either.
I got inside the top 150 once and then did horribly on the WCS World Finals and Hot6 and just ended 400 something I did have a 14 correct streak which is a personal best though.
