*Tournament Update: The MMA vs SuperNoVa/Zenio winner game has been moved to tomorrow. There is a special FFA match being planned in its place.
In a first round bracket scene that has become all too familiar, every foreigner was left behind today leaving Feast, seeded to tomorrow's matches, as the only non-Korean in the round of 8. In the only Korean-battle, Zenio came out victorious over SuperNova in what was more or less a normal display of his ZvT skillset.
After winning the first game against JYP, elfi found himself unable to continue his fantastic PvP streak and fell 1-3 due to a combination of micro mistakes and losing mind games. DarkForce was trumped by viOlet when his early aggression failed in the first 3 sets and then was unable to hold an attack in the 4th. The other German, HasuObs, was defeated by Killer in 3 straight first from being on the wrong end of the mental game with his builds, and finally with a failed cannon rush that went nowhere.
Tomorrow brings another set of 4 matches with SlayerS_MMA battling Liquid`Zenio, EG.JYP facing his teammate EG.PuMa, SK.MC playing Empire|viOlet, and MǂFeast trying to keep the foreigner dream alive against coL.Killer.

JYP decided that was enough to expand fast on, while elfi just went for a one base colossus build. However, elfi hit a great timing once he had two colossi, and also managed his army much better. It was enough to crush through JYP before he really had the advantage of having an expansion, giving him the win.

SuperNoVa tried to catch up by taking extra bases belatedly, but found himself spread too thin, and lost a crucial fourth base and many SCVs to mass mutalisks. With Zenio freely expanding and teching, this forced SuperNoVa into a desperate attack. However, Zenio just had a far superior army, and swept up SuperNoVa's forces to take the game.
09:04 GMT (+00:00): With SuperNoVa staying on two bases and continuing to put on heavy aggression, Zenio barely managed to defeat two pushes and stay alive. After fending off a third push, it started to look like Zenio had a real way back into the game, as SuperNoVa had stayed on two bases for a very long time.
09:01 GMT (+00:00): SuperNoVa's push hit at a great timing, catching Zenio without troops and forcing him to give up his natural. However, Zenio had taken his third, and remained on two base income to keep a foothold in the game.

08:51 GMT (+00:00): Zenio vs SuperNoVa G3: Tal'Darim Altar. Zenio @ bottom right, SuperNoVa @ bottom left.
08:49 GMT (+00:00): Zenio 1 - 1 SuperNoVa. Though SuperNoVa built a large army and even pushed out to take a fourth base, he was horribly unprepared for Zenio's hive tech. Brood lords and infestors cut through everything, giving Zenio the game.
08:45 GMT (+00:00): SuperNoVa went for a two base push that managed to delay Zenio's fourth base twice, which was a surprising result for how outmatched it was by Zenio's army. In any case, it helped SuperNoVa delay Zenio's economy as he went up to three base himself, and headed into the late game.
08:39 GMT (+00:00): Zenio went for a delayed ling-bane bust against SuperNoVa, doing a decent amount of damage as SuperNoVa happened to go marine-marauder while skipping tanks. This attack put Zenio ahead, but with SuperNoVa still very much in the game.
08:35 GMT (+00:00): SuperNova decided not to go all-in after having his 2 barracks scouted, and just transitioned into a normal game. Zenio got to drone up happily.
08:33 GMT (+00:00): Zenio vs SuperNoVa G2. Entombed Valley, Zenio @ top right, SuperNova @ bottom left. Zenio scouted out a double proxy rax to begin the game.
08:28 GMT (+00:00): SuperNoVa 1 - 0 Zenio. Knowing he was far behind in economy, Zenio decided to just go completely all-in with a follow-up roach-bane bust. However, SuperNoVa already had siege tanks by the time the attack came, and defended it easily. Zenio GG'd out after his failed attack.
08:26 GMT (+00:00): Zenio went for a two base baneling bust, but somehow moved all of his units out of the way to allow SuperNova's SCV to scout it out and prepare in advance. Zenio ended up with a failed bust, and SuperNoVa triple orbitals for a huge economic lead.
08:20 GMT (+00:00): Zenio vs SuperNoVa G1: Antiga Shipyard. Zenio @ 9, SuperNoVa @ 3.
08:12 GMT (+00:00): Oh neat, IdrA and Apollo are casting Zenio vs SuperNova.

Liquid`Zenio vs oGsSuperNoVa
- Game One: Antiga Shipyard. Zenio @ 9, SuperNoVa @ 3. Zenio went for a two base baneling bust, but somehow moved all of his units out of the way to allow SuperNova's to scout it out with his SCV and prepare in advance. Zenio ended up with a failed bust, while SuperNoVa had triple orbitals for a huge economic lead.
Knowing he was far behind in economy, Zenio decided to just go completely all-in with a follow-up roach-bane bust. However, SuperNoVa already had siege tanks by the time the attack came, and defended it easily. Zenio GG'd out after his failed attack. - Game Two: Entombed Valley, Zenio @ top right, SuperNova @ bottom left. SuperNoVa went for a double-proxy rax to begin, but Zenio scouted it out and forced him to transition into a regular build. This gave Zenio the advantage in the early game, and gave him an opening to also go for a delayed ling-baneling bust before SuperNoVa had tanks. That attack gave Zenio an even bigger lead, although SuperNoVa was very much in the game.
SuperNoVa pulled back with a nice marine-maraude-tank timing off two bases that delayed Zenio's fourth base, while he took a third himself. However, he was unable to apply enough pressure to stop Zenio from teching, and Zenio just shot straight up to mass upgrades and hive units. SuperNoVa was able to max-out and take four bases, but was completely unprepared to deal with Zenio's brood lords and infestors. The hive composition quickly tore down everything SuperNoVa had built, forcing the GG. - Game Three: Tal'Darim Altar. Zenio @ bottom right, SuperNoVa @ bottom left. A very strong two base marine-tank timing attack from SuperNoVa took down Zenio's natural, but Zenio managed to cling in the game as he took another base and looked for a way back in. Zenio looked like he was on the verge of death several times, but he managed to barely beat back SuperNoVa's continued pushes.
Eventually, Zenio was able to retake the lead, as SuperNoVa had stayed on two bases for far too long. SuperNoVa tried to catch up by taking extra bases belatedly, but found himself spread too thin, and lost a crucial fourth base and many SCVs to mass mutalisks. With Zenio freely expanding and teching, this forced SuperNoVa into a desperate attack. However, Zenio just had a far superior army by that point, and swept up SuperNoVa's forces to take the game. - Game Four: Cloud Kingdom. Zenio @ bottom, SuperNoVa @ top. SuperNoVa opened with a cloaked banshee expansion, but Zenio caught wind of it in time to stop it easily. SuperNoVa tried to recover by taking a fast three bases while teching, and Zenio was able to kill him easily with a muta-ling-baneling attack.
- Zenio 3 - 1 SuperNoVa
Acer.elfi vs EG.JYP
- Game One: JYP seemed to get ahead with his 3-gate blink + obs build, sniping elfi's observer and also getting a few free unit kills. JYP decided that was enough to expand fast on, while elfi just went for a one base colossus build. However, elfi hit a great timing once he had two colossi, and also managed his army much better. It was enough to crush through JYP before he really had the advantage of having an expansion, giving him the win.
- Game Two: Elfi opens with a warp prism, and despite good timing is unable to do enough damage thanks to JYP's good micro. Elfi tries to take an expansion vs JYP's choice to make colossus, and JYP easily bowls it over. Elfi moves out to attack after his first 2 colossus and range, but when he meets JYP's 3 colossus his army melts and he is done.
- Game Three: JYP 4 gates after seeing elfi take 2 gas, elfi kills his forward pylon and goes for 3 gate blink. JYP continues to 4 gate and gets up the ramp before a sentry can forcefield, game is over.
- Game Four: JYP beats elfi out in everything, makes more probes, has an earlier expansion and bigger army. Elfi tries to fake a nexus but by the time he gets to JYP's base to attack, he is down a colossus and loses the fight without much contest.
- elfi 1 - 3 JYP
aTn.DarKFoRcE vs Empire|viOLet
- Game One: DarkForce 10 pools and pulls drones vs a hatch first from viOlet. He doesn't make a spine crawler during his attack, viOlet defends and holds without losing many drones and DarkForce GGs.
- Game Two: Both open pool first, with DarkForce expanding immediately off speedlings. Violet opts for a roach expand, which puts his expansion behind and forces a handful of lings from DarkForce. DarkForce attacks with those lings, killing his first initial roach army and first 2 queens, and from there uses his overwhelming advantage to win.
- Game Three: DarkForce goes for heavy 2 base roach-baneling play while viOlet takes a quick third. DarkForce's attack makes viOlet cancel the third, but is unable to break him, and viOlet wins after holding ever-so-slightly and counterattacking.
- Game Four: The game starts with viOlet making a pool first and DarkForce making a hatch. viOlet runs by DarkForce's ramp and kills 8 drones with his first lings, and from there has control of the game. His second wave of attack keeps DarkForce's army count low, and he finishes it off with a baneling-ling-roach attack.
- viOlet 3 - 1 DarkForce
coL.Killer vs mouz.HasuObs
- Game One: Match starts with Killer double proxy gating inside Hasu's main. Hasu goes up to 17/18 with probes and is unable to start a zealot before a stalker. The zealots walk into his base and kill him without much trouble.
- Game Two: Killer takes his expansion faster and is able to keep Hasu's colossus number low in the early and mid-game due to blink stalkers. From there when the players max out he is able to keep the colossus lead, and wins when their endgame armies clash.
- Game Three: Hasu opens with forge first, and tries to cannon Killer starting from the low ground. Killer chronos out a series of stalkers, and stops the cannons one by one as they approach his mineral line, never in any danger. After he stops it, he simply moves out with stalkers and wins.
- Killer 3 - 0 HasuObs
