Right before FlaSh went to military (and right before crypto scandal blew up), he had a stream with Suit (crypto scandal head), Gamst and Britney that revealed how much he made off of Crypto.
They were discussing how much money they've made so far and FlaSh brought up "I've made more in 1 month with crypto than I've made in 10 years [of streaming+progaming]. I've put a lot here and there and it all rose up".
Unfortunately, this footage is private/hidden as of crypto controversy, but with all these rumors and reputation leading up, you can see why some people really looked to FlaSh as the crypto-guru of sorts since he made so much right before crypto incident blew up.
Think you should have translated the chat text. TBH Flash seems like he's lying here. Not that he made 8 million or whatever, but his demeanor and responses. He is quick to deny any real involvement in the crypto scam stuff.
I'm ok with doing crypto as an enthusiast, but doing pump and dump stuff with your most devoted fans is super n o t - c o o l

this is pre-crypto scandal and whole T.O coin so he's downplaying his earnings I've posted the context on bottom so
he's a dumbass for pulling this stunt when he had already earned so much money and had a sizeable income streaming.
i'd understand some of the smaller streamers who are struggling but flash has no excuse. kespa forced all of the licensed players to go through seminars about matchfixing after 2010; definitely not the same thing but he should have known how scummy scamming/fraud/deception is.

tell me you didnt read or watch the op without telling me
why should anyone take what he said at face value when he had an obvious incentive regardless of his true intentions.
it’s super naive and charitable to think his comments on stream weren’t pre-meditated; even if they weren’t it just means he’s had even less reason to deceive (not disclose) his fans if he truly made so much.

This video has nothing to do with the scandal so let's not make this thread about that please.
On topic: Flash should be funding BSL with that money.

Video clearly says *Before* the scandal.
Also, the OP added the text below the video after a poster asked for clarification. But if you feel like being hostile towards me then have at it.

Well, reason why scandal blew up on FlaSh's face so hard especially is that he became somewhat of convincer of a lot of streamers since a lot of them sought his advice on crypto-mattered to be involved in TO coin (the crypto that was subject of scandal). A lot of people were aware FlaSh was pretty avid investor in cryptocurrency and was very successful so he had bit of credibility going.
And then right before the scandal, he suddenly spoke out about how much he made when he was downplaying it previously when he was streaming with suit. Iffy timing.
in end of day, its all just theorycrafting and just conjecturing his intensions but it gives reason why people went especially hard on FlaSh.

I think you got your off topic and on topic mixed up.
Nice throwback, seeing some bits again from his stream from that period when he played off-race/random and everyone was in awe at his ASL run, those slick mechanics and threatening plays, showing once again why he's the GOAT...
He just ought to apologize few more times if need be, keep his hands off that investment shit from now on (or at least not talk about it publicly) and he'll be fine streaming BW again. If that's what he wants to do. I'd watch.
i dont think flash would be deterred in the slightest from having a grand streaming session on his return from the army. this incident is already in the back of many peoples' minds, and for those who still give a shit, they cant really do much when everyone else involved has already been streaming for ages. flash will probably come back, be showered in balloons and he will probably throw a few lines at his audience like "oh btw sorry about that coin scandal. im innocent but i can see why fans would have been mad. well its all in the past now~ kthxbye"

Fair enough, I was just trying to prevent us from having two separate threads discussing wether Flash was innocent or not. That debate in the other thread got long winded and vile. We don’t need that again here. I think what you wrote was fair enough though. I have a hard time taking any famous person for face value when they promote crypto.
"I've made more in 1 month with crypto than I've made in 10 years [of streaming+progaming]. I've put a lot here and there and it all rose up"
But at the same time, if he didn't have the money from streaming+progaming to begin with, it probably wouldn't have been that huge of a success investing coins. So one led to the other is my train of thought.
PS if he grew tired of the game and is solving his financial problems by investing we might've lost him
